London Marathon Events and the NBA chose Trafalgar Square as a venue for the inaugural Finals of Jr. NBA 3v3. To communicate its vision, LME turned to AccuCities to create the infographics renders of the set-up in the shadow of Nelson’s Column. AccuCities have collaborated closely with organisers to turn their detailed 2D venue plan into an easy-to-understand 3D model and create visuals for their press release.

Junior NBA 3v3 Tournament

The Jr. NBA 3v3 tournament is an exciting event that brings together young basketball enthusiasts from various schools to compete and showcase their skills. This year, the tournament will take place in the heart of London, at Trafalgar Square, on June 6, 2025. The event promises to be an action-packed day of basketball, fun, and entertainment for participants and spectators alike.

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan said: “London is the sporting capital of the world and Trafalgar Square is the perfect venue to stage the inaugural Finals of Jr. NBA 3v3. I am proud to support this innovative collaboration between London Marathon Events and the NBA, which I hope inspires more young people to play basketball in schools across the capital.”

Finalists from 10 schools will go head-to-head having been whittled down from 315 teams. The event aims to promote the sport across the UK, and is organised by London Marathon Events.

3D Modelling and Renders for the Event

AccuCities have been working closely with the organisers to bring their vision of the event set-up to an easy-to-understand 3D visualisation. Utilising the existing 3D London model and its model of the Trafalgar Square, our 3D modellers added branding, basketball courts, stages, tents, trophy and other assets to the model. The work was done according to the LMAs 2D event plan, coordinated over number of screenshare meetings to accommodate any changes or requests. The final Hight Quality renders were created in Cinema 4D.
